Product Details

Temporarily relieves symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergies:

  • Sneezing

  • Runny nose

  • Itchy, watery eyes

  • Itchy nose and throat

  • Nasal/Sinus Congestion

  • Sinus Pain

  • Sinus Headache

Active Ingredient

Acetaminophen (extra strength) 500 mg

Active Ingredient Purpose

Pain reliever, fever reducer

Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30 mg

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 25 mg

Inactive Ingredients

Black ink, candelilla wax, cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, FD&C blue no. 1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, silica, titanium dioxide, water, zinc stearate.

Do not take more than directed (see liver warnings).

Adult use only (12 years and older):  Take 2 caplets every 6 hours while symptoms persist. Do not take more than 8 caplets in 24 hours.

Other Information

Store at 15 to 30°C. Read the complete label before use and follow all directions. Do not use if blister unit is broken. Child resistant package. Use only on advice of a doctor. Not standard dosage unit product.

*Seek medical attention if you are experiencing a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction, as BENADRYL® is not indicated for such use.

Liver warning:  Acetaminophen may cause severe or possibly fatal liver damage if you take:

  • more than the recommended dose in 24 hours

  • with other drugs containing acetaminophen

  • while drinking 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day.

Symptoms of liver damage may include:

  • yellow skin or eyes

  • dark urine

  • sweating

  • nausea

  • vomiting

  • stomach pain

  • unusual tiredness

  • loss of appetite.

Allergy alert:  Acetaminophen may cause serious skin reactions. Symptoms may include:

  • skin reddening

  • blisters

  • rash.

If any of these symptoms occur, stop use and seek medical help right away.

Do not use

  • with other products containing acetaminophen or other cough/cold or pain/fever medications. If you are not sure whether a drug contains acetaminophen or the other activeingredients, ask a doctor or pharmacist

  • with any other product containing diphenhydramine even one used on skin

  • if allergic to acetaminophen or any other ingredients in this product

  • with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (drugs for depression or Parkinson’s disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug

  • for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma, or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions unless directed by a doctor.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you

  • are taking other medications including the blood thinning drug warfarin, other antihistamines, sedatives or tranquilizers

  • have glaucoma

  • have breathing problem such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or chronic asthma

  • have difficulty with urination due to an enlargement of the prostate gland

  • have heart or thyroid disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney or liver disease

  • are elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding.

When using this product

  • marked drowsiness may occur

  • excitability may occur, especially in children

  • alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness

  • do not drive, operate machinery or engage in activities requiring mental alertness

  • avoid alcoholic drinks.

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

  • symptoms last for more than 5 days

  • fever lasts for more than 3 days

  • nervousness, dizziness, sleeplessness or new symptoms occur or symptoms worsen

  • are accompanied by a high fever (>38°C) or the production of thick, yellow/green mucus.

Keep out of reach of children.  This package contains enough drug to seriously harm a child. In case of overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
